Rise and Shine: How to Start a Successful Day!

September 07, 20243 min read

Ever feel like your mornings are a chaotic mess of hitting snooze and rushing out the door? We've all been there! But imagine starting your day feeling energized and ready to take on anything. It's definately possible with a positive morning routine!

Let's ditch the hectic mornings and create a routine that sets you up for success. It's like giving yourself a huge win before you even step out the door!

Here's the deal: Instead of dreading the alarm, let's make waking up something you look forward to. Try these ideas:

  • Rise and shine a bit earlier. Going to bed a little earlier makes this way easier. You'll want some extra time in the morning to try out these awesome new habits.

  • Get up and at 'em! The moment that alarm goes off, be a hero and get up! Don't lie there thinking about all the things you don't want to do. It's way harder to be negative when you're up and moving.

  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! After a long night's sleep, your body needs some water. Grab a big glass or keep a bottle by your bedside. You'll feel so much better in just a few minutes.

  • Get your body moving. A quick walk, some jumping jacks, or even a few push-ups can do wonders. It doesn't have to be intense, just get your blood flowing and your mind focused on positive things.

  • Shower power! This is the perfect time for some positive affirmations. Tell yourself how amazing you are and how awesome life is. It might feel silly at first, but trust me, it works!

  • Fuel up with a good breakfast. Yogurt and fruit, a healthy cereal, or whatever you enjoy. Sit down and savor your meal while continuing those positive affirmations.

  • Find your zen. Take a few minutes to meditate or read something inspiring. It's a great way to set the tone for your day.

  • Goal check-in. Review your goals and remind yourself what you're working towards. It keeps you motivated and focused.

  • Seize the day! Now you're ready to go out there and conquer the world! With all that positive energy, how could you not succeed?

This whole routine might take a bit longer than your usual rush, but it's worth it. If you're short on time, just focus on the essentials: water, positive self-talk, and a peaceful breakfast.

If you are like me and need a good framework to follow to setup a good morning routine, I follow Al Halrod's Miracle Morning SAVERS. This helps keeps me grounded and not guessing what I have to do each morning. The SAVERS are...

  • Silence: Start your day with some quiet time for reflection and intention setting.

  • Affirmations: Use positive affirmations to boost your confidence and motivation.

  • Visualization: Visualize your goals and dreams coming true.

  • Exercise: Get your body moving to energize your mind and body.

  • Reading: Feed your mind with inspiring and educational material.

  • Scribing: Write down your thoughts, goals, and gratitude.

I even created my own playlist on youtube to help me navigate each of these actvities in a really good flow. Here is the link is you would like to follow mine or you can create your own...
